Hello, my name is ABBEY. I am about one year old and as you can see I am very cute!
The lady who originally owned me bought me for her husband for a Christmas present. Shortly after Christmas, her husband left us, and I was tied up outside the house. No one took care of me or paid a bit of attention to me. All I wanted was a warm place away from the elements, a comfortable bed, some food and water, and a little bit of love, but it was not meant to be. Day after day, it was just poor Abbey the puppy, all alone and shivering in the cold.
A nice family found me tied up outside at a yard sale, and guess what? I was for sale! These nice folks bought me and took me home because they thought I would have died had they not. That was in April, and I had been tied up on a 4 foot leash outside in a very muddy area with no grass, little food, and little water since after Christmas. They don't know how I managed to survive, since I was not much more than a skeleton, and it had been so cold over the winter. I was in such bad shape that the local humane society was going to file animal abuse charges against the folks who bought me - until they found out they rescued me! Now that I am in better health, they say it's time for me to find a family of my very own who can play with me and love me. That sure sounds good to me!!
