Hi, my name is ABBOTT and I'm six years old. I lived my entire life as an outside only dog in rural Kentucky until recently, so being an inside dog is really exciting! I get along fine with the other dogs here unless there is food involved, so to avoid my scrapping with others, perhaps it would be best for me to be an only dog. I ignore the indoor cat, but am pretty interested in the neighbor's outdoor cat, and would really like to chase it.
I'm learning inside dog manners, and have pretty much stopped having accidents inside. I've figured out how to use the doggy door since I am no longer concerned about being banished from the family.
I'm not saying who was to blame, but I did bite a toddler when he was being mean to me and hitting me. I know how to sit on command, though I don't always obey. Hitting me doesn't make me obey - just ask my former Dad. I bet if you offer me treats as a reward, I'll give you my undivided attention! I've been good while my foster has been working on th mats in my coat. Fostered by Julie in TN.
