BAILEY II
Hi!  My name is BAILEY and I’m almost three years old. As you can tell, I’m a lovely girl. I’m very happy and playful, and I love to snuggle.

My foster parents say that I try very, very hard to please. I have two doggy friends at my foster home to play with, and I like them a lot, but I like to play with the hoo-mans more. I am very smart, and I learn quickly and easily.

I need to have house rules and a family who will stick to them. My foster mom says if given an inch, I’ll take a mile. I don’t get on the bed or the furniture, but if you invite me, I will sit in your lap. I don’t chew anything I’m not supposed to, and I am very well-behaved.

My foster Mom took me to the Dog-ter and I checked out okay, though I’m on a diet right now, much to my dismay. I behaved perfectly at the Dog-ter’s office. My right hind foot has an old break or dislocation of the outside toe that doesn’t bother me, but is noticeable when you look at it.

I have been going to basic training classes with other dogs and people. I am the star of the class. I am housetrained and am used to being in a crate for up to four hours at a time during the day when my foster family is at work.

I love to go places to see and do new things. I am curious about the cat that lives in the barn near my back yard. I sometimes bark at the cat, and I watch him closely, but most of the time I am quiet outside and inside the house, except when someone comes to the door.

I get very anxious when someone comes to the door – especially if they come to the door carrying something large like a big box. My foster parents have been working with me in the house on a leash. When people come to the door, they have me “hush”, sit and settle down while on the leash. No one is sure why I react this way because the rest of the time I’m a very, very good girl. Before I came to SOS, I was in quarantine for biting an 'in-law' when he came into the house (I could swear they said 'outlaw'!).

I love to go for walks and I enjoy being groomed (although I don’t like to have tangles combed out on my back legs, but treats are a great distraction). When I’m sleeping soundly I prefer to be left alone, but if I know you’re in the room, I will roll on my back for a belly rub. I LOVE belly rubs! All I really want is to love someone special and to be loved. Believe me… I have a LOT of love to give.

I met two cats and  I went to greet them. I was called away and like a good girl, I obeyed. I didn't act like I was going to do anything to the cats, but my foster parents didn't want to find out for sure since I was off leash. Oh, and I got groomed up real pretty, too. Do you like my new hairdo? Fostered by Julie and Don in CO.
