BOGEY
Hi, my name is BOGEY and I'm twelve years young. Don't let my age fool you, though, cuz I can prance and dance with the best of them! I came to rescue because my mom and dad had to move due to the economy. What a bummer for them and for me and my little sister, KELLI (an Irish Setter). I love KELLI and my family, and miss them greatly.
I have been taught to sit, heal, and stay, and am also trained to hunt. Truth be told, I was much better at pointing the birds than my dad was at shooting them. He got several of those 'how disappointing' looks from me!
I haven't hunted much in the past couple of years. The ol' eyesight just ain't what it used to be, and the hearing is not as acute as when I was younger. Oh, and I'm not as fast as I used to be either. I've heard that people have these same afflictions when they get older. They must get it worse than Gordon Setters, cuz I can easily run circles around humans!
I love going for walks, and am quite fond of belly rubs. Playing fetch with a tennis ball is great fun, too! My favorite toy is a plastic football. I will play fetch with it, too, or just carry it around with me. Don't try to fool me by giving me a different football. I know MY football, and that is the one I want!
In the mornings, my dad would hold his hand out for me to jump up and place my paws on. That's when the rubbing and the 'good boy' accolades would commence. It feels soooo good to be petted and loved on!
I have been accused of hunting for food on the counters, so my new forever home should not leave things out that I can get into. I've got a reputation for giving unconditional love, and would like to show you just how wonderful I am! Fostered by June in WI.
