Hi, my name is BUDDY and I'm about three years old. I'm new to this rescue thing, so I'm a little scared.  You see, my Dad had an accident with chemicals at work, and has been very sick.  He's a young guy, early 30's, and has had two strokes and a heart attack due to the accident, and hasn't been able to take care of me.

I went to the clinic for a fecal before going to my foster home, since the standard procedure at SOS is to keep the dog (that's me!) in isolation until he has a clear fecal.  Well, it didn't go so well.  I have all kinds of worms plus coccidia and clostridium.  I am getting meds for all except the coccidia.  The Dog-ter wants to wait until my tummy is better before attacking that one.  At least this explains why I am so skinny!

They also found blood in my urine.  I'm going to a different Dog-ter for other tests and vaccines, so we'll know more soon.  In the meantime, I got a bath and some grooming done, and I smell and feel a lot better!  I had really bad mats in both my ears, which made it impossible to look inside the ears much less clean them, but the mats are gone now.

I was very good for grooming and for cleaning my ears, which were very dirty and infected.  I have sores on my belly, back, hind legs, and no hair on my stomach or between my back legs, but the hair will grow back once I get over itching due to fleas.  I hate those nasty things!  Anyway, as I was saying, I was very good even though my ears and skin really hurt.  My foster mom was very proud of me!  More about me later!!
