Hi, my name is BYRON and I'm about 18 months old. I'm named after the English poet Lord Byron. I fancy myself a romantic kind of guy like he was. My poetry goes something like this: "Aaahhh-roooo, I luv woooooooo.....". I know that's a masterpiece. The pup-lishers will have to wait, though, cuz I have to find a forever home before I start collecting royalty checks.
The reason I am here is cuz... well, I don't really know. I do know that I was in a shelter in Kansas. I got to take a ride with BREE and her CHEESEBALLS, and a pointer as well (isn't it nice when rescue folks work together???). I am staying at my Aunt B's Bed and Breakfast til my foster mom can come get me. My Aunt B told my foster mom that I am a little 'tarded, just like any happy setter boy my age. I am learning not to "take a hike" in the house, that's why I am wearing a silly band around my waist.
I like other dogs and am respectful of the cat that lives here at the B & B. I really like my Uncle R, he says I just invite myself into the recliner - while he's in it! I like to think of it as doing my job as a lap-warmer. I got a clean bill of health from the dog-ter, and I am now missing some boy parts, too (that will also help with the hiking in the house). I am not sad about losing my boy parts. What does make me sad, though, is thinking about all those doggies out there that don't have laps to warm. I hope you have room in you heart (and lap) for a happy, sweet setter boy like me!!!
