Hi, my name is CHERRY and I'm about nine years young. I'm sure you can see what a lovely lass I am. The white hair around my eyes is very becoming - at least that is what my Foster Mom says. You know, there is a lot to be said for us mature ladies. We are housetrained, and most of us are way past the chewing stage. Inside, we behave like ladies (for the most part), but outside, we're ready for some action! Can you see my tongue hanging out? I am no slouch when it comes to running and playing!
I have a great nose, so if there is something to be sniffed out I will find it. If it can be opened, I will open it! I call it talent!! I LOVE to go for walks. I will pull on lead, but I walk very nicely with that thing called a Haltie.
I love to be loved on, and I will love right back. My Foster Mom says I can love a little too much at times, as I am a leaner. I've been known to lean really hard with my head, too.
My foster sisters are great. I really like having a pack, but I do miss being with lots of humans. Of course, I will settle for just one human, but it had better be a very special human! I also have a foster brother. He is a cat, but that doesn't bother me at all.
There is this place we go where there are a ton of others dogs and I can run forever off leash. It's great! My Foster Mom has to drag my out of there!
One time at the park there were loud guns and cannons firing, but that didn't bother me. I thought is was strange that some of the other dogs got scared and asked to go home.
Fostered by Kathryn in VA.
