Hi, my name is CLANCY and I'm 6 years old. My birthday is St. Patrick's Day which I think is quite appropriate for me, since I'm an almost perfect Irish gentleman. Actually, I think that I am perfect, but my foster mom says I have a few teeny-tiny faults. For the record, I don't think they are faults at all, but my foster mom is the one who can type so she does have the control over what folks will read about me!
First the good things about me! I'm a calm and sweet boy with great house manners. I don't run in the house, destroy things, or counter surf. Amazing, huh? I won't even get on the couch until I'm invited up for cuddle and belly rub time. My doggie bed is fine until then. I like people and don't jump on them, something my foster mom tells me is a good thing. I get along well with the other dogs in my foster home and even respect the cat who thinks he's a dog with claws (I'll have to tell you about the other cat later). I save all my running around for the backyard and I enjoy
several short romps daily. I'm also a very good dog in the car and like to go for rides with my foster family. I like being brushed and pampered and I tolerate the nail trims and ear cleanings that go along with my grooming,
too. I'm even crate-trained!
Now, about those teeny-tiny faults that my foster mom thinks exist. I like to bark at the other cat sometimes to tease her since she hates dogs. I would never hurt her and it's all in fun, but my foster mom says it is too noisy sometimes. At least I quit teasing her when I'm told to. I'm strong on leash and my foster mom says I need leash work to learn not to pull. Guess I'll find out what that all means in the near future. My foster mom also says that I'm addicted to doggie biscuits. I get a doggie biscuit every night at bedtime so sometimes I
have to hurry up the process and bark and whine about it getting late. I don't see what the big deal is about bedtime being 8pm! My mom distracts me with cuddle time which actually works out to my advantage, too.
To give credit where credit is due, my foster mom still says that I'm one of the best foster dogs who has ever lived here. I can't deny that one bit!! Fostered in CO.
