Hello, my name is CLOVER. I am about seven years old and as you can see I am very pretty! I am also very, very sweet! And good with cats! Other than countersurfing, I am perfect in the house. I am gentle enough for my 75 yr old friend to walk on lead.
I am very well housetrained and have stayed in for up to 8 hours. I would do best in a relaxed home with people who will love on me and give me lots of attention. I do like playing with a tennis ball and a squeaky toy, but mostly I love to lay on the couch or in your lap. I would prefer a home where I can sleep in bed with my people!
I really crave lots of human attention and companionship - very much a good lap dog! I have never been around little toddler kids, but am fine with older kids that are used to and are good with dogs. I must admit to being partial to the company of older folks, as they are the best snugglers!
I have small a sore on my chest, probably from a mat that was tight on the skin. I have sores all around my neck where I wore a "bark collar" when outside (I protect the fenceline from intruders!). It was likely the shock kind and it burned my skin - ouch! I have terrible callouses on my front elbows and sternum. The one on my sternum is the worst my foster mom has ever seen in her 20 plus years with Setters. It has pulled away from my body and is hanging. My teeth are in bad shape - very black, not just tartered. They look terrible and my gumline is very red.
So, I'm guessing it will be several weeks before I will be ready to go to a new forever home. In the meantime, I will be getting a dental with possible extractions, and will have the callouses assessed for possible health issues. Gosh, I sure am glad SOS took me in, and will help with all of my problems!!
