Hi, my name is DAISY and I'm six years old. I lived my entire life ('cept when I was first born) with my former family, and we were all very happy. Everything was good even after they had a baby, which is no wonder cuz we Irish are generally good with kids, though we do tend to knock them over at times, but what's a few bumps and bruises between friends? I am usually very good about doing as I'm told.

Anyway, I'm sure you've heard the adage,"Let sleeping dogs lie". Right? That's because some of us can react in a not-so-nice manner when awakened abruptly. I know I should have had more self-control, but I was startled out of a deep sleep, and, well, I bit the toddler.

I am very small in stature, and love to do all kinds of things, like get wet, play, get lots of lovings, and, of course, eat! The vet says I am in very good shape (which is no surprise since my former family took very good care of me)! I do have some thinning hair which the vet thinks is from scratching at fleas, but it could be something else, so we're waiting to see. I got clipped before coming into rescue (I hate being brushed), so that could have something to do with it, too. Do you know how much fun it is to watch hair grow back? Zzzzzzzzzzzz...

I also have a scar on my back from surgery. I was bitten by a spider, and had to have an operation. The scar is very noticeable, but I don't pay it any attention. I'm used to having some stuff put on it daily to keep the skin moist. The SOS vet said she would not do anything about the scar other than what we've been doing, so no cosmetic surgery for me!

I get along well with other dogs, though I'd do best where I will never encounter small dogs. I find them to be annoying, and I really don't like being annoyed. I've not been around cats, so I don't know whether I like them or not.

I do have mild separation anxiety, so I should be crated when left alone. I am learning to signal that I need to go outside, but am still having some accidents (I keep telling my foster mom that it's the steroids I'm on temporarily).

When I'm not running around burning off all my energy, I like to snuggle. I am petite, and will fit in most any size lap!!!
