Hi, my name is DOC and I'm about seven years old. I was a real mess when I came to SOS! My foster mom tried to salvage as much of my coat as possible. Sometimes it hurt really bad when she pulled on the matted areas, but I didn't fuss a bit. She says I was being a really good boy! I remember hearing those words sometime in my past, but that is kind of blurry now. Anyway, I am clean and my hair isn't pulling all the time anymore, so I smell and feel a lot better!
I get along well with other dogs and am fine with kids, too. I am on the large side, weighing in at 85 pounds. I could stand to lose a few pounds, and I will with my new exercise regimen. I really like to snuggle, so if I lose the weight, maybe I can be a lap dog!
All things considered, I had a good check-up. The dog-ter was worried about a polyp in my nether regions, so he removed it and sent it to a lab for analysis. I've known a few Labs in my day, and I can't for the life of me figure out why the Dog-ter would send anything to one of them, when I have just as good a sniffer as any Lab!
