Hi, my name is DUNCAN and I'm about five years old. I had a family but they just didn't have time for me anymore, so they took me to the shelter where I waited... and waited... and waited...
Fortunately for me, the shelter staff knew that I was special, even if the people adopting other dogs from the shelter didn't. The shelter was running out of room which meant I was running out of time, so they contacted SOS, but all the SOS foster homes in my area were full. YIKES! A new foster volunteer signed up in the knick of time, and now I am safe!!! WHEW!!
The first thing others say about me is just how incredibly sweet I am! When not being a charmer, I love to play with other dogs as long as they don't try to jump all over me cuz I'm just not into rough play. I am fine with kids, too. I don't know about cats yet. I ride very well in the car.
I am really smart, and know how to open latches on gates. I've not figured out how to open padlocks, though, so I can be kept safe inside the fence.
I love just about anyone who will scratch my back. I've been getting lots of scratches and rubs lately, so I must be pretty lovable.
I like going outside and talking to the neighbor dogs. I have real good manners in the house. I don't chew things up, I hardly ever bark in the house, and I never go potty in the house. My foster mom says she doesn't leave food out to eat at my leisure because I eat too much, but I really like the food here!
I like having my own bed to sleep on - even better than the couch! I have lots of energy, so if you're looking for a playmate, or just a walking partner, I'm your boy! Fostered by Deb in MI.
