Hi, my name is ELI and I'm nine years young. I've been told that I am really a handsome boy, like I didn't know that already!
My Daddy got sick, and just can't care for me and my sister MISTY any more. If you will adopt both of us, I promise we'll be good (sometimes)!!!
We are fine with other dogs and with cats. We are not to be trusted with other small animals, though, as we are both waaaaaay too interested in that wascally ol' wabbit! I've been known to open gate latches to get out, and will bulldoze my way through weak barriers. It must have something to do with the rabbit, but I didn't know I got caught!
Rumor has it that we are going to the vet on Monday. I will be getting bloodwork and a dental (with possible extractions) along with a general exam and a fecal to find the cause of my watery poop. My coat and eyes need attention, and my ears have been infected quite some time, as they have blood and puss coming out of them. The vet may want to x-ray my hips, too, as I am weak in the rear. Other than that, I just need a lot of groceries!!

Update 6/10/08: I resent the Dog-ter calling me a "train wreck"! I just need a little work, and will be as good as new!! Okay, so my ears are really bad, and my teeth are really bad, and I am waaaaaay underweight, and I have worms, and I have dry eyes, but that's all - so far!! I figure I'm worth every penny that SOS is spending on making me well. Don't you agree?
(Note: MISTY is eating half her dinner, then pushing her bowl towards ELI. The foster mom suspects that she is returning the favor, since she was in pretty good weight when picked up, while ELI was in very poor body weight.)
