FINNIGAN
Hello, my name is FINNIGAN.  I am about twenty-five weeks old and as you can see I am very cute!   I'm pretty typical of a happy-go-lucky Irish Setter puppy, but I don't always play well with other dogs.  I am more interested in anything that moves, like toads, grasshoppers, and leaves!  I will need basic obedience training.

My foster mom says I've got "dain bramage", whatever that means.  She just doesn't understand my fascination with water!!  The truth is that I am incredibly talented, and she's just jealous.  After all, she can't run around like a fool for hours, dunking her head into the kiddie pool!!  I bet she can't bark underwater, either, but I can!!!  Fostered by Alissa in TN.

What a difference I am seeing in this fine young man!  His previous fear reactions towards other dogs has disappeared, and he is more confident.  He also has the most incredible smile I've ever seen in an Irish - his nose wrinkles almost all the way up to his eyes!

He is incredibly gentle and submissive when dealing with humans.  Nail trimmings, grooming, and even cleaning the ears are no problem whatsoever.  He is growing more comfortable to life indoors, but still prefers running outside most of the day.  If only I could harness some of that energy for myself!!

FINNIGAN should do very well with other dogs now, but they should be capable of major league heavy duty rough and tumble style play.  Older children will be fine with him, but the younger ones may get run over outside.  He still jumps on poeple, but has toned it down considerably.  Obedience training is required.
