Hi, my name is HUNTER and I'm about two years old. I've been told that I am a sweet, handsome lad! Neither of my foster parents have ever seen a dog that craved so much affection. Don't misunderstand me - I don't really beg for attention. I am satisfied if the humans are in the room near me, but I am up for a good petting anytime!
I am very well-mannered. The humans left us doggies alone in the house for a while last night while they went out for dinner. Nothing was out of place when they returned. Oh, and I've never had an accident in the house. The humans are really glad of that!!
I will sneak up on the furniture if they aren't looking, but so far that is my only vice. Truthfully, I don't consider this a vice. It is, after all, called fur-niture!! (Silly humans!!!)
I am well trained. I know sit, down, stay, heel, come, outside, and no. (Actually, I know more than that, but what fun is it to give away all my secrets?). I am beautiful at heel, and am a real pleasure to walk. The only thing I am weak on is crating - I refuse to go into the crate if anybody is close enough to close the door. I'll go in and lay down, but if anybody comes close enough to be able to shut me in, I am out of there in a flash!
I went to the Dog-ter on Wednesday, and got a clean bill of health! The Dog-ter said I am a very good boy, too!
SUE and I play very well together, although we both agree that the only Kong that is worth having is the one the other one has!! I'm not really big on playing with toys, (maybe I never had a toy of my own?). I must admit that I am curious about them, though. Poor SUE will tease me with a toy, then drop it at my feet - and I just look at it like "yeah, what next?"
I am inclined to chase cats (okay, so I am not quite perfect... but face it - some cats really could use the exercise!). The humans haven't had a chance to "kid test" me yet, but we've got plans to do that next week. That sounds like fun! I did great with the humans' Cousin Vi. In fact, I absolutely charmed the heck out of her. Not an easy task, considering she is 103 years young!!
