Hi, my name is ISAIAH and I'm about three years old. I could be a purebred IRWS, but it's hard to say cuz I really don't remember much from when I was little. The rescue folks say the markings are right, but the red is a little on the light side and the coat is a little course. I do have a thumbprint on my head, but it is covered by white fur.
I'm actually very calm for a young setter boy. I get along with the other dogs most of the time, but every once in a while I growl at the other boys. Mom says it's cuz I have some Alpha in me. I don't remember eating any Alpha, so maybe it is something I was born with. I have not been tested off-lead since I am dominant, but my foster mom thinks I am a homebody, so I might be okay off-lead where there are no other doggies. I am okay with cats, and am calm enough for even little kids.
I have excellent house manners, and never get into anything. I am trustworthy when left alone, and will just snooze on the bed until you get home. I will greet you with a wagging tail, but won't jump up on you.
I like toys okay, but people are much more to my liking. I've been known to snuggle on occasion, and even give kisses!
I don't test the fence, so four feet will likely be sufficient to keep me safe. I am pretty good on lead, and know basic commands. Like all setters, I do have Selective Hearing Disorder, but I figure you need practice at giving commands more than I need practice at obeying commands, so it works out well. Fostered by Alissa in TN.
