Hi, my name is JOLIE and I'm about nine months old.  I came from a place in Missouri where I was not treated like the royalty I am, so the folks at the Department of Agriculture told me that they would call SOS rescue, and SOS would get me all better and find me a home worthy of me.  Gosh!  I hardly know what to say!!

Anyway, I was checked out by the dog-ter, and other than a few skin issues, ear mites, and needing a few groceries, he thought I was in pretty good shape.  They are waiting on me to put on a few pounds before doing the spay.

I kinda like this place.  There are other dogs to play with, and lots of toys, too.  I've found out that I get to eat three times a day (though not large quantities, as I have to put on good weight).  There is nothing wrong with my appetite.  I clean my bowl every time!!

Since I am so skinny, I don't cotton to other dogs hanging around my crate while I am eating.  When food is not involved, I'm just fine with them once I figure out that they are going to be nice to me.  Most of them are bigger than I am since I only weigh 32 pounds, and that can be kinda scary.  I've not met any cats yet.

I'm working on housetraining, and am doing better already.  I'm a quick learner!  I am crate trained, too, and I walk nicely on lead.  I am curious about the giant water bowl, but haven't ventured in yet.

I'm very sweet, and will be a wonderful little girl for some lucky family.  Fostered by Alissa in TN.

UPDATE 4/3:  I'm up to 42 pounds!  My skin has not responded to the treatment, so additional tests are being run.  One possibility mentioned is hyperestrogenism.  Anyway, I have surgery on Tuesday to take several skin biopsies to be sent to the derm lab.  They sent a sample to another lab for culturing yesterday.  I'm getting tired of them messing with my skin, so I'm hoping that they get some answers soon!
