Hi, my name is JUDD - you know, like Cledus T. I'm just a good ole' country setter in need of a home. I don't really remember where I used to live... so much has been going on in the past few weeks that I have forgotten. Sometimes that's a good thing!
I do recall that I was out wandering around by myself and Animal Control came and picked me up so I wouldn't get hurt. I stayed at the shelter for a long time, but I was safe and had enough food and water. I eally felt that there was more to life though, and I was beginning to think I would never get out of the shelter.
My lucky day finally came when a rescue person found out that I was in the shelter and came and got me out. Boy, was I a mess!! My beautiful orange and white coat was filthy. I was not very matted, but I stunk really bad and needed a bath. I was so dirty that no one could tell I had orange in my coat!
I am now living in a house with a yard, but my foster mom says I can't stay here forever, so now I am waiting for my next lucky day - the day when I get to go to a home of my very own!
I am about 5 years old, and I appear to be in good health. I have a trip to the dog-ter scheduled for something called a 'neuter' - not sure what that is, but I guess I will find out soon!
I like other dogs and am well-behaved in the house. I am a little nervous about sudden hand motions over my head, but I am trying not to cower cuz now I know it is all good from here. No one would want to hurt me, cuz I am waaaay too sweet for that. I am not very high energy - I prefer to lay at your feet and cuddle with you.
