Hi, my name is LUCKY and I’m an “Irish Setter with Wings” coz I got to fly in a small plane from Wisconsin to Michigan. Boy, was that exciting! My former family loved me very much, and took very good care of me. But they had two older rescued dogs and I guess my puppy playfulness was just too much for them sometimes. You see, I’m only 1 1/2 yrs. old and I love to run and play and sneak up on things and go for car rides, too.

I’m also crate trained. I used to sleep in my crate at night and during the day when they were at work. – I was a little confused about where I was suppose to sleep when I got to my foster home, coz my foster mom didn’t use the crate. Now I sleep on a big dog bed next to her bed and I stay there all night. I would really like to sleep on her bed with my foster sister, but she “put her paw down” on that one and said “No Way!”. She is the “Alpha” dog, and I’m learning to have a lot of respect for that.  Other than that, we get along very well. We share toys (I like to play tug of war and chase Frisbees).  We share pillows and even the couch with mom so we both get “snuggle” time - I love to snuggle! I’m small enough to fit in almost any lap, just 48 pounds.

I know how to sit, stay, and come.  We are working on “loose leash” training coz I can pull when I see something I really want.  I am very easily trained with treats, which I take very gently, and I learn quickly.  I haven’t had any accidents in the house, chewed anything I wasn’t suppose to, and I can be haven't tried to jump the fenced at all.

I do have a lot of energy, and I like love to run and explore!  Sometimes, I like to dig in the yard, but I’m learning that this is not a good thing to do sometimes.  So if you like Nature, talking long walks, getting caught in the rain, then coming home and snuggling, I’m your boy!!  Fostered by Joanne in MI.
