MALLORY
Hello, my name is MALLORY.  I am about two years old and as you can see I am very skinny.  I am in critical condition.  I am on IV fluids for rehydration and antibiotics to fight pneumonia.  The vet says I may not make it, but what does he know about the Irish spirit?  Apparently not much!  The rescue folks are really pulling for me, and have promised to spend whatever it takes to make me well, down to the very last dollar in the bank account.  I'm sure glad they care so much!  How about you?
Fostered by Alissa in TN.
(The vet says I have DIC.  Look closely at my eyes.  They are sunken a half inch or more back from the eye sockets.)

Donations for MALLORY now at $1113.00 - Thanks!!!!

HOME AT LAST!!!!!!!!
I'VE BEEN EATING LOTS OF HEALTHY STUFF.
CAN YOU TELL?
I'M GOING BACK TO THE DOG-TER ON MONDAY,
AS I HAVE DEVELOPED A LUMP ON MY SIDE.  HOPEFULLY, IT WON'T BE ANYTHING BAD,
BUT MOM SAYS IT NEEDS TO BE LOOKED AT.

YAY!!  IT'S NOT BAD!  JUST A SEROMA.  THE DOG-TER DRAINED IT AND IT GOT PRETTY SMALL.  THEN THE DOG-TER FILLED IT UP AGAIN WITH SOMETHING CALLED GENTAMICIN TO MAKE SURE I DON'T GET AN INFECTION THERE.  MOM FUSSED AT ME FOR PLAYING TOO ROUGH (LIKE I'M GONNA STOP?  YEAH, RIGHT!).
I HAD TO GO BACK TO THE DOG-TER ON WEDNESDAY,
SINCE THE LUMP ON MY SIDE WAS GETTING LARGER.

I DIDN'T THINK THEY WERE VERY NICE THIS TIME.  THEY STARVED ME!  AS IF THAT WEREN'T BAD ENOUGH, THEY MADE ME GO TO SLEEP AND DID SOMETHING THAT MADE ME HURT REALLY BAD.  I HEARD THE DOG-TER TELL MY FOSTER MOM THAT THERE WERE TWO LUMPS REMOVED.  JUST TO BE SAFE, THEY ARE SENDING THE LUMPS TO THE LAB.  HOPEFULLY, THEY ARE JUST SEROMAS THAT WALLED OFF AND COULDN'T GET RID OF INFECTION,  THE DOG-TER WANTS TO MAKE SURE THERE IS NOTHING REALLY BAD GOING ON.  RESULTS ARE EXPECTED IN ABOUT A WEEK.
RESULTS ARE IN, AND IT'S NOTHING BAD!!  MOM SAYS I'LL BE READY TO GO TO A NEW HOME SOON!!  IN THE MEANTIME, SHE SAYS WE ARE GOING TO WORK ON SOME BASIC COMMANDS, LIKE "OFF" AND "SETTLE".  THOSE DON'T SOUND LIKE MUCH FUN TO ME!!
