Hi, my name is MILLIE and I'm one year old. I had a wonderful home with a nice Mom, but I just had to go over the four foot fence and get after some chickens, and the neighbor who owned the chickens didn't appreciate that at all. Silly humans! I am a bird dog, ya know.
I am ashamed to admit that I have a huge drinking problem. I like to bury half my muzzle in the water bucket, and when I lift my head (which I do several times while drinking), well... you know. I am just a puppy (I just had my first Bird-day), so those puppy bad habits like chewing are still present.
On the bright side, I am sweet, affectionate, and crave affection. I also really like other dogs, and want so badly to play with them. I am submissive towards other dogs, which makes it easy for me to make friends. When no one will play with me, I will entertain myself with toys and sometimes with stuff I'm not supposed to have, like vacuum cleaner attachments.
I've not yet discovered those things they refer to as cats, so I don't know how I'd do with them. I do know that I can't be trusted with chickens, though!
I’m a bit of a talker, and will let you know when I want something, or just to tell you about my day. I know everyone likes to hear what we Irish kids have to say, after all. I am crate trained, and have not had any accidents in the house.
I love all humans, and want all the attention I can get. I'm quite petite, so I want to jump on people to get closer, but am learning that people don't like that.
When I went to the Dog-ter's to get spayed, the girls there made fun of me. They said they had a hard time getting a fecal sample since I don't have a tail for them to grab. It wasn't my fault - I was born with a defect in my tail, and my previous owner decided to amputate it because she said it was bothering me. I really don't remember. Anyway, I kinda think it's a big selling point, as I can only clear coffee tables from the front instead of from both ends, and I look so cute wagging my little stump faster than lightning!
My ideal home will have at least one other very active dog who loves to play, but no rabbits, birds, or other small and furry pets. A secure fence at least five feet high is needed to keep me safely at home. Kids are okay as long as they don't mind a few bumps and bruises, cuz I'm likely to jump on them, too. I am still a puppy - remember? Fostered by Alissa in TN.
