MURPHY II was turned over to the vet clinic as the owner was no longer able to care for him due to MS. As a companion of the same family for all seven years of his life, he is very much loved, and the owner is devastated by the course of action she had to take. He does great with children, and also does very well with other dogs. We have not yet tested him on cats. He is great indoors and outdoors, and loves attention!!
UPDATE: MURPHY is a bit of a shadow. He loves playing with other dogs, but not sharing food with them. He still has mild separation anxiety, but is not destructive in the least - he just barks at you to let you know he's not happy you are leaving. He never has accidents inside, and is fine uncrated. He's not a countersurfer!!
He is perfectly happy resting on a doggy bed, but will join you on your recliner if invited. He's happy just to be with his family, to love them and to be loved by them. As a mature male, MURPHY promises to be a good boy. If invited to sleep in your bed with you, he will not hog the covers, and rarely snores. He will not demand treats in the middle of the night, and he is never critical of your physique. He never hogs the bathroom in the morning, and doesn't leave whiskers in the sink. He might just be the perfect male!!!
