Hi, my name is MURPHY and I'm about nineteen months old. Have you ever seen a sweeter face? I didn't think so! You know what? Sweet faces are only found on sweet dogs, and there is no one sweeter than me!!
I get along well with other dogs and am fine with kids of all ages, too. Heck, I even get along with cats! Other than trying to sneak a snack or two, I have exhibited no bad behavior in my foster home, though I can be rather vocal when I want something!! My foster mom thinks I am trying to sing, and she tells me not to give up my day job, whatever that means.
Tennis balls are entertaining, and I love to play fetch. When no one is throwing the ball for me, I'll grab one and show it to all the other dogs. They then chase me since I've teased them, and I have great fun playing keep-away from them. I play nice with the other dogs, adjusting my play to suit them. The smaller dogs just can't handle super rough play with a dog as large as me. I've caught my foster mom looking out the window at us playing, and she is smiling. It must be as much fun for her to watch as it is for us to romp and play.
In my former home, I did like to steal some of my family's things. I can't mention what kinds of things, because they were very personal and private, if you know what I mean. I will steal just about anybody's stuff, so for my own good, my forever home will need to keep clothing picked up and out of my reach! That goes for toys, too.
Okay, now for the serious stuff. I am a drug addict. No, really, I am! I get Tylan Powder with each meal, mixed in with my food. It helps with my digestion. I also get a capsule once a day, and I will take it buried in my evening meal, or will happily devour it with some peanut butter (yum!). It's a steriod that helps regulate my hormones. Without it, I'm not the man I think I am! Once a month, I get a shot. It's just vitamins, though, so that doesn't really count.
I get yucky poop if I eat things I'm not supposed to, so I get special food that has no gluten in it. I costs a little more than some foods, but as with any quality food, less is needed to maintain my weight, so it's not that expensive, all things considered. My foster mom insists that I tell you that I should not get table scraps. She must be crazy thinking that I am gonna tell you that!
