Hi, I'm PADDY and I am four years old (but I'm going to be five years old in November, and would love a birthday party just for me!!). I'm a tall guy - over 25" tall at the shoulder. I'm also extremly skinny, but my foster Mom hopes that I will gain some weight, since I am eating very well.
My previous owners kept me in the backyard, and I slept in a dog house, so I am still learning about being indoors. I really like being an inside dog! At first, I was afraid to go up and down the stairs, but I'm finally use to them. I can run up and down them just like my dog pal. I hate to go outside now because I fear that my foster parents will not let me back in. I am slowly but surely realizing that they will let me back in the house again!
My favorite activity right now is standing at the baby gate and staring at the cats on the other side. My foster Mom said that I need a family that doesn't have cats, or that has cats that will stand their ground rather than running away from me. I only want to play with them!
I love people and am happy when someone sits down. That means I can put my head in their lap and be loved on. I really crave attention since I didn't get a lot of attention as an outside only dog.
I am learning how to walk on a leash without pulling, and I'm very good except when I see another dog, a squirrel, or a rabbit. I just can't control myself yet. I am quite good looking and have an easy nature. I am very quiet, and
like to lay at my foster family's feet. All I want is a kind family that will love me and spend some time playing with me and training me to be the best companion ever!
