Hello, my name is RAMSEY. I am about one year old and as you can see I am very handsome! I am 61 pounds with a very athletic build. I like to start my day early (around 4am) with a little jog, followed by a morning of Frisbee toss, and an afternoon walking around the neighborhood to visit friends. I usually end my day with an energetic run followed by a good crash-out on the couch.
I am the soft spoken type, but I will alert the whole house by barking and screaming if I sense danger. I am a bit of a food critic, and feel that taste, texture, and presentation are very important when dining. My diet consists of Nutro Natural High Energy dog kibble, covered in a pureed white chicken meat that has been simmered and cooled to room temperature. I dislike junk food like biscuits and treats, and I much rather prefer a vocal reward to a common nibble.
I am a social butterfly! I feel that the life of a socialite is the only life to have. I have an extended network of girls and boys that I visit often. I extend my social network by regularly attending Puppy PlaySkool and play groups. I have befriended a cat or two, but I prefer to spend my free time with other dogs.
I like to help my family around the farm by supervising them while they ride and care for horses. I respect that horses are easily frightened, and keep my distance until I know that the horse is comfortable with my presence.
I enjoy car rides, and I am chauffered around regularly. I sit nicely in the back and occasionaly take cat naps while my family run errands to the bank, to school, and shopping. I take occasional road trips to visit local parks and hiking trails. Those are my favorite trips!
I am properly cared for and have recently had my yearly check up. I have a slight yeast infection in my ears but that is something easily remedied. I also am recovering from Lyme Disease. I came from an area in Virginia where Lyme is prevalent. Fortunately, it was detected early and is being treated. I am not showing any symptoms.
I love kids!! Face it, kids are great and they love to throw balls which makes them #1 in my book! I've been playing with neighborhood kids all around the ages of 8 years and up. They are fun and I look forward to visits from them.
To wrap things up, I enjoy grooming, I dislike smokers, and I obey basic obedience (if you ask correctly). I am currently looking for a home, and hope to find my next family soon. I'm being fostered by Kathleen in VA.
