Hi, my name is REDDIK and I'm about two years old. I'm as sweet as can be! I get along well with other dogs and am fine with kids, too. I've even been around a toddler, and was very gentle, though I did knock her down a few times (cat related). Cats are another story, so I would do best in a home without cats to chase. I am good on leas except when I see birds. Birds are just too tempting, and I could probably drag a semi as hard as I pull to get at the birds!!
I am food motivated, and will check out the counters for yummy stuff. I do think I'm a lap dog!! I am, after all, on the small side, and will fit in most any size lap!!! I also love to go for rides in the car. It's fun to watch the world go by out the windows!!
When I first came into rescue, I was emaciated and had really bad skin issues. Good food and good vetting has made a world of difference, and my hair has come back in nicely! I will never have a long coat, but that's okay. It's easier to brush me that way!
I have not had any accidents in my home, but I am on a routine and only have free time in the house after I have pottied outside. Unless there are birds outside, I prefer to stay in, and it can be a struggle to make me go outside. I should be kept on my routine to prevent my pottying in the house.
I am as quiet as a mouse, which isn't always good. I have a fondness for stuffed toys, and will quickly disembowel every one I can find! If I am too quiet, I might be engaging in some Irish mischief!!
