Hi, my name is REESE and I'm four years old. I'm a little on the large side for an Irish Setter, but on the small side for a horse! I currently weigh 86 pounds, and I could stand to put on several more pounds to be at my ideal weight.
In addition to being big, I am goofy. You know the type - just fun-loving and goofy!! I really love to play! In fact, I want to play so much that I wouldn't let them take pics of me, so they put me on a chain temporarily so you could actually see what I look like, and not just a large red blur!!
I do require special food because I am allergic to corn. That means I get special snacks, too!
(Adoption fee does not include saddle and bridle.)
Fostered by Alissa in TN.
UPDATE 8/15/08 - As you know, I got really, really sick and would have died had I not gotten emergency surgery. I am doing much better, and am soooo happy to still be here!!
Of course, I broke the rules, cuz dogs are only supposed to bloat and torse after the clinics are closed for the day, or on weekends or holidays. No one told me the rules. No big deal, cuz I like doing things my way anyway!!
I go back in on Tuesday to get my sutures out, and to make sure everything is doing as it should. If all is well, they will do a little snip-snip. I'll have a few down days after that, but will be up and running very soon! I can hardly wait to be back 100%, cuz I've been eyeing this giant tennis ball that is just my size!
My foster mom said not to tell you that I give really sweet kisses. She must want them all for herself, but I am perfectly willing to share!
Anyway, I've run up a bit of a vet bill, so if you think I'm deserving and you have a few bucks to spare, could you send them my way? In addition to the surgeries, I'm on ZD dry food and Max-Cal canned food. I'm eating several smaller meals a day while my tummy heals, and that Max-Cal canned food at $8 a day is pretty expensive (but I'm worth it!!!).
