Hi, my name is REGGIE and I'm about two years old. It's taken a while to get my profile up cuz I don't type so well. Okay, it's because I was having some issues, but they are resolved now.
When I first came here, I didn't get along well with other dogs and was not really respectful of human authority. I am much better now, and mind very well most of the time now that I've learned that I am not in charge. If I need a little reminder, I am shown the squirt bottle, and my attitude changes immediately.
I am pretty rambunctious, so older kids or no kids would be best. Most importantly, dog savvy folks who know how to keep me in line is mandatory. Oh, and someone that can throw the ball for me is also required!!
I do require a fair amount of exercise, so having a yard to run in would be great. I'm not sure I would be a good candidate for a dog park, as I may not be too fond of black dogs. I'm okay with a five foot fence, and chain link is fine. I don't try to climb out, jump over, or dig underneath,
I truly love kitty cats, and will give them lots of kisses. If your cats don't like being kissed by a dog, then maybe another dog would suit them better. I am pretty tall, and my size could intimidate cats, too!
My foster mom says I have to tell on myself for biting my previous owner. She said that I have come a long way from those days, and that I will make a wonderful companion for the right home. I just need to understand that there are boundaries, and I need to be kept in check. That is why I need a strong leader who will provide firm yet loving direction. I would also benefit from obedience class.
