Hi, my name is RUSTY and I'm six years old. I am a nice boy with excellent house manners. I do have a mind of my own, though. You see, I just want to have things my way, but quickly discover that maybe I don't really need to have things my way if I don't succeed by intimidation! I think they call it a stubborn streak.
I want to be an only dog, as I don't want to have to share my humans. I like to snuggle, and I give sweet kisses. Belly rubs are my favorite!! I like to play fetch, and will even bring the ball back!
I walk well on lead, and will walk with you for hours if that's what you want to do. I don't beg at the kitchen table (but my foster mom won't turn her back on me 'cuz she suspects I will try to help myself to anything left on the table or countertops). I ride well in the car, too.
So, I guess my perfect home would be an older couple with no young kids and no other pets, with previous Setter experience and a mindset that the humans are the Alphas in the house.
