Hi, my name is SADIE and I'm about ten years young. I'm as cute as a button, and I'm as sweet as can be, too!
I came to rescue because I was bossy with the other dog in the house. I just needed someone to tell me that I can't be that way, and I have figured out how to get along. I am still possessive of the humans and of toys and treats, but now I respond appropriately when corrected.
I am on a diet cuz, well... I'm a bit chunky!! I thought that there was just more of me to love, but apparently, being heavy isn't good for my health. I've lost several pounds, and I feel pretty good! Oh, and my bloodwork and superchem results are terrific.
I did have surgery, since I had a hernia under my spay scar. They also found two little itty bitty lumps that they removed, and they took some skin samples from my abdomen as well. We are waiting to hear from the lab on the lumps, and expect good news shortly. The derm lab isn't as fast, so it may be next week when we get those results.
Physically, I should be tip-top after I reach my ideal weight. I am already very active for a girl my age, and I love to run and play. I also like going in the pond, and I get pretty wet when I do. Stuffies are a lot of fun, and I can play fetch and tug with just about any toy. I've been accused of removing the squeakers, but I plead innocent since no one actually saw me do it. The same holds true for getting in the trash and on the table (BTW, I can jump up there no problem - how's that for a little old lady?). When it is time to go to bed, I like to curl up with my foster mom, and I sleep soundly all night long. Fostered by Alissa in TN.
UPDATE 4/1: The lab results are in, and I am declared adoptable.
