Hi, my name is SHERLOCK and I just turned eleven months old. I'm just a typical goofy redhead the size of a horse!  No kidding - I'm not done growing, and am already thirty inches at the shoulders!!

I get along well with other dogs.  I've not met any cats yet, but as jumpy as I am when something makes a noise, perhaps a home with no cats knocking stuff off of shelves and counters would be best.  I guess the same would go for active kids, too.

I really love Mommies, but am kinda scared of Daddies.  I am learning that Daddies can be good friends, too, but it will take a while for me, being so skittish and all.

I bark at Daddy when he comes home from work, and when he makes getting-ready-for-work noises in the morning.  I'm not aggressive, though.  In fact, I'm a big scaredy-dog.

I don't like being crated, but am pretty good in the house.  Being a food hound, nothing is safe on the counters or table, so don't tempt me with that kind of thing.

I like keeping Mommy warm at night, and I cuddle up real close.  We share her pillow sometimes, and other times I use her arm as a pillow.  I just have to be touching her, so I will know if she tries to sneak off while I'm sleeping.  It works very well, cuz she hasn't disappeared on me yet!

I really don't know why I was named SHERLOCK.  Everyone knows that male Irish Setters' brains don't arrive until they turn four years old. Mommy says the name still fits, though.  After all, it's "elementary".  I have no clue what she means by that...  Oh, well.  The important thing is that she loves me and gives me lots of attention!!
