Hi, my name is SNICKERDOODLE, but most folks just call me SNICKERS. I didn't sell as a young puppy, so my breeder gave me to a local school when I was five months old so they could auction me off to raise money. Only one person bid on me, so I had a new family who figured I was worth what they paid for me - a whopping $25.
I spent the next several months living outside, and am so thankful it was summertime, cuz it can get pretty coId in northern Michigan. I was pretty lonely most of the time, being outsideaway from the family. I did make friends with one Irish Setter - well, actually we weren't really friends - we just made some puppies together. Hmmm... I wonder if the guy who bought me made his $25 back.
Now I am with rescue, and am having a blast with my new friends, running and playing and even living indoors! This is waaaay cool.
I'll write more once I get settled in. It's been quite a change going from an outside dog to an inside companion, and I have some stuff to learn about living indoors. Fostered by Joanne in MI.
