Hi, my name is SOPHIE and I'm about seven years old. I've been told that I am really a sweet girl, like I didn't know that already! I get along okay with other dogs as long as they don't get crazy, jumping all over the place, and am fine with kids, too. I've not met any cats.
I am a very good girl most of the time. I crate up when needed, which isn't very often. I almost always do as I am told, too. I will get up in bed with you if invited. If I'm in bed and other dogs try to climb up, I let them know that it is my spot. I don't like to share the bed, but will back down when fussed at.
I really like being the center of attention (who doesn't?), and am happy being loved on. If you prefer, I am a worthy opponent at tug, and am good at fetching and retrieving, too! When I bring the toy back for you to throw it again (or to play tug), I will try to stuff it in your lap. That is why they call it a 'stuffie', you know!
My most favoritest thing is food, so I have to watch my weight. I get special hypoallergenic food since I have allergies. I don't get as much food as I would like since I need to lose a few pounds, which makes me an opportunist for anything left out that I think will taste yummy, whether I'm allergic to it or not. If I do eat stuff that I'm not supposed to have, my eyes get itchy so I scratch. I've not been scratching at all lately, and the hair is starting to come back.
I have had trouble with ear infections, but we are almost done clearing up my ears. I will need regular ear cleanings, but I am pretty good about that as long as my ears aren't allowed to get too painful. Nails are another story, though, so maybe the Dog-ter should handle my pedicures.
I take medicine twice daily to compensate for a thyroid deficiency. The medication isn't expensive at all, and I take the pill readily if wrapped in lunch meat or in pill pockets. YUM! I should be primarily an inside dog since I may be allergic to outside stuff like some types of grass.
I am a talker! I will "roo" to you when I get excited about stuff, like your coming home and, of course, suppertime!
I am just an all-around nice girl with lots of love to give, and lots of play in me, too. So, whaddya say - do you wanna play tug with me?
