Hello!  My name is SUNNY and I’m two years old.  Like most youngsters, I have lots of energy!  I love to run in the yard and chase those pesky squirrels.

When I was a year old, I was made to live outside 24/7, so now I am learning to be a ‘well-behaved’ inside dog.  I tried raising my leg inside the house a few times and immediately got corrected, and I haven’t done that again.

My foster mom says I’m a quick learner and that I have a whole lot of potential.  We have this bell on the back door and I already have learned to ring when I want to go outside.  I find that there are many more critters outside than inside. I love to watch for critters!!

At my former home, I would climb the four foot fence.  My foster mom has told me that that’s not a good thing for me to do, and I haven’t done that for a few days.  Of course, if there were something really interesting on the other side... well, let's say that I won't make any promises, so maybe a really tall fence would be best for me.  Oh, and maybe I should be in a home with no cats, too.

I could stand to go to obedience class, too, since nobody ever took the time to teach me the basics.  Right now, we are working on a few commands like sit, stay, come, and off, and also on loose-leash training.  I sit very well when I see my foster sister sit on command, especially if there is food involved, which I take very gently. The rest of the commands might take a little while.  I also pull on the leash when I see something I want.

I don't like crates at all, so when my foster mom leaves for a long time, I have to go the laundry room in the basement, where I have learned to be calm and just wait for her to come home.  The laundry room sure beats the kennel I was in at the animal shelter.  That was very traumatic for me, and I lost some weight there. I’m sixty pounds now, and am a little on the thin side, but I'll put the weight back on in time.

I am very friendly, and will go right up to both children and adults. I love to ride in the car!! My foster mom doesn’t know for sure how I'd be with very small children since we don’t have any here.

My most favoritest things in the world are squeaky toys, pigs ears, and cuddling on the couch.  After a hard day of patrolling the yard, I will settle down and snuggle with my human on the couch.  If she is busy on the computer, I just curl-up on the dog pillow next to her.

If you're interested in adopting a beautiful redhead who really wants to please and you have the time and patience to bring out my best behavior, then I just might the one for you!!
