Hi, my name is TAHOE and I'm about two years old. I'm fine with other dogs once I get to know them, but am really scared of them at first. I do bark at them when they get close to my food, and sometimes when they get close to me when I'm in my sleeping area. Cats are another story, so I should not have any cats in my new forever home.
I am somewhat fond of playing with stuffies and toys, but will lose interest fairly quickly. I have tested the bottom of the fence, but have not tried to get over the top of the five foot chain link fence here.
I love my crate, and will go in there on my own to take a nap. It's safe, and I know the other dogs can't bother me when I'm resting. I'm quiet inside, but will sound off when appropriate and when outside being crazy.
I do try to sneak out the door, and can get rambunctious when excited, so a home with young kids would not be a good fit for me. I'm doing better about not jumping on people, but will need my new family to help me remember to not do that.
As you can see, I am on the skinny side, but I eat well and am putting on some weight. I also have a small spot over my left eye where the hair has been rubbed off, but it should grow back soon.
I like to snuggle, and love to be petted all over. I will give kisses sometimes, and I have a very gentle mouth when accepting treats. I am petite, so I will fit in most any size lap! Fostered by Alissa in TN.
