There is always a need for transportation for dogs to go
long distances, whether it be to a foster home, a forever home, or even to get medical attention not available in
the current area. With the number of people travelling
by car over the summer months (often when temperatures are too hot to fly dogs) or for holidays (when drivers
become scarce), it would be great if they could take a
four-legged passenger along for the ride!
In addition to helping the dogs, the organization saves
time, effort, and resources by not having to seek transport volunteers. You would benefit from having someone to talk to on the road who is not prone to back seat driving and who will never critique your driving habits. Heck, the dogs don't even fuss if you don't stop to ask for directions! Oh, and there is alway the tax deduction for miles driven for charity!
