Hello, my name is TWILLA. I am about two, maybe three years old and, as you can see, I am a petite cutie with the sweetest brown eyes! I am very much a cuddle-bug and a lover. I will snuggle with my human every chance I get!
I was picked up as a stray by a Good Samaritan from Georgia who was vacationing in southern Missouri. The locals said I had been hanging around for a while. When I went to the dog-ter, he scanned me for a microchip and found one. The entire lot of chips was sold to Ozark Mountain Puppies (oh, joy...). The rescue folks called and left a message. Guess what? No one returned the call! That's fine with me, cuz SOS promised to find the bestest home ever for little ol' me, where I will never want for anything ever again.
I am learning quickly to walk nicely on lead, but I do tend to get distracted easily. I am housetrained and crate trained, and I ride well, too. I'm very submissive, and will freeze up if I am afraid of something like going through a door, but I am improving as I learn to trust.
I don't understand how to play with toys yet, but I do get excited when I see other dogs and I start to bounce around in anticipation. I'm sure that I would enjoy a friend my size and energy level to play with and to keep me company. I don't like being outside in the yard by myself, and will bark non-stop if isolated outside, even if the other dogs are around. I'm fine as long as I'm in the same enclosed area with the other dogs, or if I'm in my crate inside.
The dog-ter says I'm in pretty good shape 'cept for my coat, but that will get better now that I am eating quality food and am no longer living on my own. I am being treated for whipworms.
I sleep in my crate at night and am as quiet as a mouse - not so much as a peep all night long. I've been told that, in the morning, I'm usually sleeping with my head on my pillow and feet up in the air, but I will deny it (unless there is a video - surely not!). If my crate door is left open, I will borrow stuff. I've been known to pull some soft snuggly blankets from the laundry baskets as well as a leather moccasin into the crate with me. I didn't destroy anything or chew the moccasin. My little plush lamb and I just wanted some company is all.
I'm just a huggably sweet girl who gets along well with everyone. Of course, my ideal forever family would have time every single day to snuggle with me. We'll call it building my confidence, okay? If we both work really hard (and snuggle a lot), I will blossom into a loyal, fun-loving companion. Fostered by Shelly in MO.
