Hi, my name is VALENTINE. As best the rescue folks can figure, I was born on Valentine's Day 2009, which means I am still a puppy (not that we redheads ever grow up)!
I was picked up off a major thoroughfare in SW Missouri. The good samaritan contacted the clinic where my rabies tag was issued, and they said they get several calls every week about me. The clinic contacted the owners yet again, and told them where I was. Apparently, my family had no interest in coming for me, and the time period for reclaiming me had expired, so here I am!
Based on my history, one would assume that I am an escape artist, but nothing could be further from the truth. I only get out when left alone inside a short fence, like four feet or so. I am perfectly content to spend hours and hours cuddling with people! I get along well with other dogs, but haven't really decided about the cats.
I checked out okay at the clinic, but I still need to be spayed. As you can see, I need to put on a few pounds and then I'll be ready to start looking for my new forever family!
