VOGUE
Hi, my name is VOGUE, and I'm about two years old. I'm yet another one that didn't sell as a puppy, and the backyard breeder in Missouri wound up with too many dogs for which to provide food, water, and shelter.
I get along well with other dogs. I've not shown any interest in cats, but may chase a cat that is running. My foster mom thinks I am too skittish to ever be comfortable around young children or loud people. I've come a long way in the past ten months, but still have times when I am skittish.
I had been living outside, but now am very comfortable and even prefer being indoors! I had been coming up to my foster mom for lovings if other dogs were getting petted, but am now coming up all by myself. Ear scratches are pretty neat, and butt scratches are great, too! I am walking pretty well on leash as long as I can walk beside or behind. I can spook if someone is coming straight at me, even if I know him/her. Speaking of scary, thunderstorms are really frightening, and I can easily clear a 6 foot fence when I get scared.
I do well during the torture known as ear cleaning. I take treats gently from my foster mom's hand, too. I'm eat well, but prefer to eat in stages. I take a break for a couple hours before finishing my dinner. Most of the time I clean my bowl, which is good since I need lots of groceries!
My foster mom says that I am now ready to go to a new forever home. My new home must have another large, active dog and a minimal number of thunderstorms. I do consider my crate to be a safe place, and I go in there whenever I am frightened by something. I feel safe in there, even when the door is open. Fostered by Alissa in TN.
